The Opportunity

We, at Fastr, are looking to hire a Staff Accountant to support global accounting operations in collaboration with the Senior Accounting Manager. This role will be responsible for managing daily accounting activities—including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and order-to-cash processing—while also playing a key role in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Senior Accounting Manager to maintain proper accounting processes across multiple international entities.
  • Provide day-to-day accounting support via order-to-cash processing, journal entry preparation, accounts payable processing, and accounts receivable oversight.
  • Take full ownership of the accounts payable function, including vendor onboarding, bill entry, and conducting weekly AP reviews to ensure timely and accurate payment processing.
  • Manage accounts receivable with a focus on maintaining an industry-standard Days Sales Outstanding (DSO). This includes conducting weekly aging reviews with the Senior Accounting Manager, reaching out directly to delinquent customers, and escalating unresolved issues as needed.
  • Support revenue operations by processing approved deals in HubSpot, generating sales orders and revenue schedules, and managing customer subscription renewals and related invoicing.
  • Apply cash receipts and disbursements daily, prepare weekly cash activity reports, support cash forecasting, and reconcile operating cash accounts.
  • Assist with external audits for multiple
international entities, including preparation of audit schedules and obtaining requested support.
  • Prepare and file monthly state sales tax returns and quarterly international VAT reports.
  • Process monthly UK entity payroll and prepare all payroll journal entries.
  • Contribute to the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes through reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, posting of monthly credit card activity, analysis of customer subscription revenue trends, and other assignments as directed by the Senior Accounting Manager.

Here’s What We’re Looking For

  • B.S. Accounting or equivalent
  • Knowledge of US GAAP
  • 2 plus years experience in accounting operations
  • Great verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, deadline driven
  • Proficiency with MS Excel
